Interakt vs AiSensy: Which to Pick in India
Two India-focused WhatsApp providers, neither with a price we have verified. Here is which one fits a Shopify D2C team and which fits a multi-brand, API-led setup.
Pick Interakt if you are a small Indian D2C team on Shopify or WooCommerce whose WhatsApp use is mostly catalogue, order and cart messaging, and you want the commerce plumbing and (at the top tier) account management and custom integrations. Pick AiSensy if your WhatsApp work is automation-heavy or multi-brand: chatbot and keyword flows, agent routing, campaign-level delivery reporting, API and webhook sending, multiple numbers with role-based permissions. Neither has a price LearnMarketing has verified, so decide on fit and get both quotes in writing.
Not published
Assumes a small opted-in list and one or two agents. We have not costed this tier; category entry plans across Indian BSPs run ~Rs 1,000-2,500/month, which is a category figure, not Interakt's price.
Not published
Assumes one WhatsApp number and one or two agents. We have not verified AiSensy's entry-plan price; across the BSP category we budget ₹1,000-₹5,000 a month for software, excluding Meta's per-message charges.
The short answer
Pick Interakt if you are a small Indian direct-to-consumer (D2C) team on Shopify or WooCommerce and your WhatsApp use is mainly catalogue, order and cart messaging. Pick AiSensy if your plans lean on automation and scale — chatbot flows, agent routing, campaign-level reporting, API-led sending, or several numbers and sub-brands under one roof.
One caveat applies to both: LearnMarketing has not published a verified rupee price for either vendor’s plans, so this page compares structure and fit, not quotes.
How they differ on cost
Both Interakt and AiSensy are Business Solution Providers (BSPs) — companies that resell access to Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform (the WhatsApp Business API) wrapped in a dashboard your team can operate. Both bill a monthly software subscription, and Meta bills you separately for messages.
| Tier | Interakt published price | AiSensy published price | What the tier assumes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Not published — we have not costed it | Not published — we have not costed it | One number, one or two agents, a small opted-in list |
| Growth | Not published — we have not costed it | Not published — we have not costed it | D2C-scale volumes, a multi-agent team, a live store integration |
| Enterprise | Not published — quote-based, and we will not estimate it | Not published — contact-only in practice | High volume, multiple numbers or brands, negotiated terms |
| Category planning band we do publish | Entry plans across Indian BSPs run roughly ₹1,000–₹2,500 a month; mid-market plans ₹5,000–₹15,000 | Across the BSP category we budget ₹1,000–₹5,000 a month for software | Category figures for planning only — neither is either vendor’s quote |
So the honest comparison on list price is a blank row against a blank row. The two category bands on our tool pages differ because they were framed differently — one splits entry from mid-market, the other gives a single software budget — and neither tells you what Interakt or AiSensy will charge you.
What actually drives the bill is Meta, not the subscription. Since 1 July 2025 Meta charges per message rather than per 24-hour conversation. India planning rates are roughly ₹0.78–₹0.88 per marketing message, ₹0.11–₹0.15 per utility message and around ₹0.13 per authentication message. One 50,000-contact marketing send at about ₹0.80 a message costs ₹40,000 — next to which any plausible software fee in the bands above is a rounding error. Choosing between these two on subscription price alone is optimising the wrong line.
Where Interakt Pricing & Review (India) wins
Commerce shape. Interakt’s mid tier is described around the things a store actually sends: Shopify and WooCommerce hooks, a product catalogue, segmented broadcasts and click-to-WhatsApp ad integration. If your WhatsApp roadmap is “order updates, shipping, cart recovery, catalogue”, that is the tier mapped to your work.
A服务-style top end. Its Enterprise tier is positioned around account management and custom integrations for high-volume senders. If you want a named human and bespoke plumbing rather than more product features, that is the clearer promise of the two.
Entry tier is deliberately plain. Cloud API access, template submission workflow, a basic shared inbox and an opt-in contact list — with advanced automation and dedicated support openly excluded. You are less likely to pay for capability you will not use in month one.
Two-band budgeting. Our Interakt page separates entry from mid-market pricing in the category, which is a more useful planning frame if you expect to graduate tiers within a year.
Where AiSensy Pricing & Review (India) wins
Automation depth. Chatbot flows and keyword-triggered replies sit in AiSensy’s core feature set, with automated cart and order flows plus agent assignment and routing at the Growth tier. If you want chats handled before a human reads them, this is the stronger fit.
API and multi-brand headroom. API and webhook access, multiple numbers or sub-brands, and role-based team permissions are named at the Enterprise tier. Agencies, groups with several labels, and teams pushing events from their own systems have somewhere to go.
Reporting. Delivery, read and campaign reporting per template, and campaign-level delivery reporting at Growth, are called out explicitly — useful when you are defending WhatsApp spend internally.
Honest upgrade triggers. The Starter tier states plainly that advanced chatbot flows and multiple WhatsApp numbers are excluded. You can see the upgrade coming instead of discovering it.
Which to pick at your stage
Solo operator or single shop: neither yet. The free WhatsApp Business App runs on a phone and costs nothing; it caps broadcast lists at 256 saved contacts. Move only when that cap bites or a second agent needs the same number.
Two to ten people, D2C on Shopify or WooCommerce: Interakt. Your spend is order, shipping and cart messaging, and that is the tier’s stated job.
Growth-stage ecommerce, edtech, clinics, real estate, insurance running click-to-WhatsApp ads: AiSensy, if inbound volume means you need bots and routing rather than more agents. Both integrate click-to-WhatsApp ads; the difference is what happens after the chat opens.
Multi-brand groups and agencies: AiSensy, for multiple numbers and role-based permissions. Choose Interakt’s Enterprise tier instead if what you want is account management and custom integrations.
Anyone with real developer capacity: price Meta’s Cloud API direct as a third option — no hosting charge, per-message rates only, but you build the inbox and template manager. Sometimes cheaper, usually slower to start.
On budget: assume the software line lands somewhere in the category bands above and the messaging line dwarfs it. Model contacts × ₹0.80 for marketing sends first, then argue about plans.
What neither does well
Neither publishes a price we can verify. Both read “Not published” across all three tiers on our pages, and we will not copy a figure off a vendor site and call it checked. You are negotiating without a public anchor in both cases.
Neither changes Meta’s economics. The per-message rates are the same whichever logo is on the dashboard, and neither absorbs them.
Neither protects your sender reputation. Your number carries a green/yellow/red quality rating and a messaging tier that steps up from 250 to 1,000 to 10,000 to 100,000 unique customers in 24 hours as you send cleanly. Blocks and reports come from your list and your copy. No dashboard rescues a bought list.
Both are one channel. Neither orchestrates email, SMS or RCS against a single customer profile. If that is the requirement, you are shopping for a customer data platform at a different price point, not a BSP.
Switching has friction both ways. Your number is tied to whichever BSP hosts it, so moving means a number port and re-approved templates. Low long-term lock-in, but not a weekend job — and little reason to pay a premium in a category where most vendors sell the same core bundle.
Compliance stays yours. Documented opt-in before the first message, and obligations under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, sit with you regardless of vendor. Our first-party data guide for small teams is the companion read.
What this means for you
- Ask both vendors for written per-tier quotes, and ask what is excluded. We have no verified figure to hold either to.
- Build your business case on messaging spend, not subscription: utility messages cost about a sixth of marketing messages, and replies inside the 24-hour customer service window are free.
- Demo the shared inbox with two real agents on both. That, not the campaign builder, is where your team will live.
- Check number-porting terms before you sign either contract, so a switch later is a decision rather than a trap.
- If you have engineering time, put Cloud API direct on the same spreadsheet. Read our WhatsApp marketing playbook for India for the full evaluation checklist.
Frequently asked questions
Is Interakt or AiSensy cheaper in India?
We cannot say, because LearnMarketing has published no verified price for either vendor’s plans — all tiers on both tool pages read “Not published”. What we do publish are category figures: entry plans across Indian WhatsApp providers run roughly ₹1,000–₹2,500 a month, mid-market plans ₹5,000–₹15,000, and we budget ₹1,000–₹5,000 a month for BSP software generally. Get both quotes in writing before comparing.
Which is better for a Shopify or WooCommerce store?
Interakt, for most small Indian D2C teams. Both offer Shopify and WooCommerce event hooks and click-to-WhatsApp ad integration, but Interakt’s mid tier is described squarely around store messaging, including product catalogue support and segmented broadcasts. Choose AiSensy instead if your store needs automated chatbot flows, agent routing and campaign-level delivery reporting more than it needs catalogue features.
Do I pay Meta separately with either tool?
Yes, with both. A Business Solution Provider resells Cloud API access; it does not absorb Meta’s charges. Since 1 July 2025 Meta bills per message, at India planning rates of roughly ₹0.78–₹0.88 for marketing, ₹0.11–₹0.15 for utility and around ₹0.13 for authentication messages. Your total is the provider’s software fee plus that messaging spend, and at volume the messaging spend is much larger.
How hard is it to switch from one to the other later?
Harder than changing a subscription, easier than a replatform. Your WhatsApp number is hosted by whichever provider you sign with, so moving means porting the number and getting templates re-approved by Meta. Plan for a short gap in business-initiated sending. The upside is that lock-in is genuinely low across this category, which also means neither vendor can charge a large premium for the same core bundle.
