AiSensy Pricing & Review (India)

What AiSensy does as a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider in India, who it suits, where it falls short, and why we list its plan prices as not yet published.

Pricing in India

Monthly software subscription from the provider, billed on top of Meta's per-message rates for marketing, utility and authentication messages — LearnMarketing has not published verified figures for AiSensy's own tiers.

Starter

Not published

Assumes one WhatsApp number and one or two agents. We have not verified AiSensy's entry-plan price; across the BSP category we budget ₹1,000-₹5,000 a month for software, excluding Meta's per-message charges.

  • Shared inbox for a small team
  • Template submission to Meta
  • Broadcast to opted-in lists
  • Contact tagging and segments
  • Meta per-message fees
  • Advanced chatbot flows
  • Multiple WhatsApp numbers

Growth

Not published

Assumes a D2C-scale opted-in list (tens of thousands of contacts) and a live store integration. No sourced figure for this tier.

  • Shopify / WooCommerce event hooks
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ad integration
  • Automated cart and order flows
  • Agent assignment and routing
  • Campaign-level delivery reporting
  • Meta per-message fees
  • Dedicated account management
  • Custom SLA or uptime commitments

Enterprise

Not published

Assumes multiple numbers or brands, API-led sending and negotiated terms. Contact-only in practice; we have costed nothing here.

  • API and webhook access
  • Multiple numbers or sub-brands
  • Role-based team permissions
  • Priority support
  • Meta per-message fees
  • Email, SMS or RCS orchestration
  • Published list pricing

Bands are our estimates for Indian buyers, not vendor list prices. Confirm with the vendor before budgeting.

What AiSensy is

AiSensy is an Indian Business Solution Provider (BSP) for WhatsApp — a company that resells access to Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform (the WhatsApp Business API) wrapped in a dashboard your marketing and support teams can actually use. You pay AiSensy a monthly software fee, and you pay Meta separately for every business-initiated message you send.

One thing to be upfront about: LearnMarketing has not yet costed AiSensy’s own plans, so every tier above is listed as “Not published”. We will not copy a number off a vendor pricing page and present it as verified.

Key features

We have not run a hands-on test of the AiSensy dashboard. The list below is the BSP feature set this category is bought and sold on, and it is what you should check line by line on any demo call.

  • Shared team inbox, so more than one agent can answer the same WhatsApp number
  • Template creation and submission into Meta’s approval queue
  • Broadcast campaigns to opted-in contact lists, with segmentation and tagging
  • Automated chatbot flows and keyword-triggered replies
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ad integration, so Meta ads open a chat instead of a landing page
  • Ecommerce hooks for Shopify and WooCommerce (order, shipping and cart events)
  • API and webhook access for pushing events in from your own systems
  • Delivery, read and campaign reporting per template

Who it fits

India is WhatsApp’s largest market, with an estimated 500 million-plus users, so the question is rarely whether to be on the channel — it is which layer you buy. A BSP like AiSensy sits between the free WhatsApp Business App and building on Meta’s Cloud API yourself.

Solo operators and single shops: not yet. The free Business App handles you fine until broadcast lists capped at 256 saved contacts start to bite.

Small D2C and services teams (2-10 people): this is the core fit. One or two agents on an inbox, order and shipping updates automated, a festive campaign or two a quarter. You need the interface more than you need the API.

Growth-stage ecommerce, edtech, clinics, real estate and insurance: also a fit, especially if click-to-WhatsApp ads are a meaningful acquisition line. These categories are high-consideration, and a chat beats a form.

Enterprises with in-house engineering: compare hard against Cloud API direct from Meta, where there is no hosting charge and you pay only the per-message rate. You are then paying developer time instead of licence fees — sometimes cheaper, usually slower to start.

Where it is weak

We cannot vouch for the price. No figure for AiSensy’s tiers has passed our own checking, which is why the pricing block says “Not published”. Treat any number you see elsewhere as a starting point for negotiation, not a quote.

The software fee is the smaller number. Across the BSP category we budget ₹1,000-₹5,000 a month for software. A single 50,000-contact marketing send at ₹0.80 a message costs ₹40,000. Choosing a provider on subscription price alone is optimising the wrong line.

It cannot protect you from Meta. Your number carries a quality rating (green, yellow, red) and a messaging tier that steps up from 250 to 1,000 to 10,000 to 100,000 unique customers in 24 hours as you send cleanly. Blocks and reports are driven by your list and your copy. No dashboard fixes a bought list.

It is one channel. WhatsApp only. If you want email, SMS and WhatsApp orchestrated from one place with one customer profile, you are looking at a customer engagement or customer data platform instead, at a different price point.

Switching has friction. Your WhatsApp number is tied to whichever BSP hosts it. Migrating means a number port and re-approved templates — doable, but not a weekend job.

Alternatives

  • Interakt — another India-focused BSP aimed squarely at small D2C teams and Shopify stores. Same structural deal: software fee plus Meta’s per-message rates. See our WhatsApp marketing playbook for how to compare them.
  • WATI — shared-inbox-first, popular with support-led teams who bolt marketing on afterwards. Worth a look if your WhatsApp volume is mostly inbound. Covered in the same playbook.
  • Gupshup — larger, more enterprise-weighted, multi-channel rather than WhatsApp-only. The realistic comparison if you are also buying SMS and RCS. Again, see the playbook; we do not yet have a standalone page for it.

The fourth option is not a vendor at all: go direct on Meta’s Cloud API and build the inbox and template manager yourself. No hosting charge, developer time instead.

Frequently asked questions

How much does AiSensy cost in India?

LearnMarketing has not published a verified price for AiSensy’s plans, so we list all tiers as “Not published” rather than guess. What is consistent across every WhatsApp provider is Meta’s own billing: roughly ₹0.78-₹0.88 per marketing message, ₹0.11-₹0.15 per utility message and around ₹0.13 per authentication message in India, plus a provider software fee that runs ₹1,000-₹5,000 a month across the category. Get AiSensy’s plan price in writing.

Is AiSensy an official WhatsApp provider?

AiSensy is one of the Business Solution Providers Indian teams commonly use to reach Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, alongside Gupshup, Interakt, WATI, Zoko, Netcore and Infobip. A BSP resells Cloud API access wrapped in a usable interface — shared inbox, template workflow, campaign tools. You pay the provider’s monthly fee and Meta’s per-message charges separately. Messages still travel over Meta’s official infrastructure, not a workaround.

Do I need AiSensy, or is the free WhatsApp Business App enough?

The free Business App runs on a phone, suits one or two people, and caps broadcasts at 256 saved contacts with no automation or CRM integration. Move to a provider like AiSensy once you are messaging more than a few hundred people, need more than one agent answering the same number, or want order and shipping updates fired automatically from your store. Below that, you are paying for capacity you will not use.

Will AiSensy reduce my WhatsApp messaging bill?

Not directly — no provider changes Meta’s rates. The real levers are structural: a utility message costs about one-sixth of a marketing message, and any reply you send inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes to you is free. A good dashboard helps you operationalise that by routing order updates into the utility category and keeping agents fast on the inbox. The saving comes from your habits, not the software.

What this means for you

  • Ask AiSensy for a written quote per tier, and ask specifically what is excluded — we have no verified figure to hold them to.
  • Model the message spend before the subscription: contacts × ₹0.80 for marketing dwarfs any plan fee.
  • Build utility flows (order, shipping, appointment, renewal) first. They are cheap, welcome, and they warm the list.
  • Demo the shared inbox with two real agents before signing. That, not the campaign builder, is what your team lives in.
  • Check the number-porting terms up front, so a switch later is a decision rather than a trap.
